First-half loss
In its September 24, 2026 release covering the six months ended June 30, 2026, Vistry Group PLC reported a loss before tax of GBP 661.3 million, compared with a GBP 40.9 million profit in the prior-year period. Business repositioning
Vistry said its strategic review will reposition the group as a smaller, specialist mixed-tenure housebuilder targeting approximately 12,000 completions per year over the medium term. The plan includes consolidating 25 regions into 12, reducing the owned land bank from 51,000 to 36,000 plots and targeting a tenure mix of approximately 60 percent partner-funded and 40 percent open-market homes.
For 2026, Vistry said adjusted profit before tax, excluding strategic-review items, is expected to be in the region of GBP 165 million. The company anticipates an approximately GBP 470 million impact from strategic actions and expects a broadly neutral cash position at December 31, 2026.
