Visa expands pro football partnerships
Visa announced new partnerships with the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles, as well as long-term renewals with the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers. Visa said the partnerships will support game-day experiences, community programs, athlete and creator initiatives, client activations and commerce experiences throughout the 2026 season. The company also said it will use the relationships to connect clients and merchants with commerce moments involving travel, ticketing, dining, merchandise and entertainment, the company release said.
Stablecoin activity in business payments
In a separate October 1 update, Visa said approximately 17 percent of stablecoin-linked card volume in fiscal 2026 year-to-date occurred across business and commercial card programs. Visa also said it supports more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs and that payments volume across those programs had grown nearly 200 percent year over year, according to its investor-relations update.
