Vestas Wind Systems A/S said in a release distributed by PR Newswire on October 2, 2026, that it had been awarded contracts to supply 16 V163 wind turbines from its 4 MW platform for two wind farms in central Vietnam. The projects include 20-year AOM 5000 service and maintenance agreements, according to Vietnam Investment Review.
Vestas said turbine component deliveries are expected to begin in 2027, with commissioning to follow. The two projects are included in Vietnam's Power Development Plan 8, the report said.
