Bussabong gas project receives final investment decision
On September 22, Valeura Energy Inc. announced with partner PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited a final investment decision for an initial development of the Bussabong gas field in Thailand. Valeura holds a 40 percent non-operated working interest. Phase 1 includes two wellhead platforms with 24 well slots each and a nine-kilometer subsea pipeline. The company expects first gas around the end of 2028. Valeura Energy said its share of facilities, installation and pipeline spending is expected to be approximately US$35 million, with drilling capex for 25 wells estimated at US$20 million to US$25 million.
Second-quarter operating update
In its July 9 operations update, Valeura reported second-quarter 2026 working-interest production of 22.3 thousand barrels per day, oil sales of 2.454 million barrels and revenue of US$259.8 million. The company also reported US$316.5 million in cash and no debt at June 30, 2026. Valeura Energy described the figures as part of its Q2 2026 operations and financial update.
