Uniper stock after-hours: September 23 agreement covers 40,000 metric tonnes of eSAF annually

Uniper’s September 23 agreement with Arcadia eFuels covers 40,000 metric tonnes of synthetic sustainable aviation fuel annually. Deliveries are planned from the early 2030s.

Uniper’s September 23, 2026 agreement with Arcadia eFuels covers the purchase of 40,000 metric tonnes of synthetic sustainable aviation fuel annually for more than 10 years. The agreement concerns Arcadia’s Project Endor in Vordingborg, Denmark. Arcadia eFuels said the contract is legally binding, while deliveries remain subject to agreed conditions and the facility beginning commercial operations.

Fuel supply agreement

The planned supply is expected to begin in the early 2030s and would provide fuel equivalent to approximately 1,000 Boeing 787-9 flights between Düsseldorf and Abu Dhabi each year, according to the company announcement. The fuel is designed for sustainable aviation fuel requirements and is produced using renewable electricity, green hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide. Reuters reported that Uniper described the agreement as part of its effort to build a position in sustainable aviation fuels.

Project conditions

Arcadia’s announcement said Project Endor’s commercial start remains a condition for the beginning of deliveries. The agreement was signed in Düsseldorf and was described by the companies as one of Europe’s largest announced eSAF offtake agreements.
