ESG award recognizes sustainability program
PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk was named Best Issuer in the Capital Market category at the 2026 ESG Awards organized by the Yayasan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia, according to the company’s press release published August 7, 2026.
The company said it collected and processed more than 80,000 tons of plastic waste during 2025. It also reported using 3,044 tons of post-consumer recycled plastic in product packaging and reducing virgin-plastic use by 20 percent against its 2019 baseline.
Company reports workforce and governance metrics
Unilever Indonesia said women occupied 43.2 percent of senior-management positions and that it recorded no work-related fatalities. The company also said all of its factories had implemented a Halal Assurance System and that 87 percent of its food products met its Highest Nutrition Standards, according to the same company release.
