New driver and courier features
In a September 24, 2026 newsroom post, Uber Technologies said its Only on Uber event introduced dozens of updates shaped by driver and courier feedback. The company highlighted tools including AI Home Summary, Trip Guide and a new earnings tracker, alongside changes to tip protection, trip-change information and delayed-ride payments.
The same announcement described additional safety features, including technology intended to detect inappropriate messages in real time and allow drivers to cancel affected trips without the cancellation counting against their statistics. Senior account expansion

According to the company’s newsroom, older adults can create and manage an account independently or connect it to a Family organizer. The update also added larger text and clearer icons, customizable pickup signals and an optional self-identification setting, while an easy-entry vehicle feature was being piloted in nine cities.
