U-Haul stock: U-Box Load Share named sustainability award finalist

U-Box Load Share has been named a 2026 Best Sustainability Program finalist by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Winners will be announced in October.

U-Haul Holding Company said on September 29, 2026, that its U-Box Load Share program was named a finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s 2026 Best Sustainability Program award, according to a Business Wire release.

U-Box program recognized

U-Box Load Share is one of four national finalists in the Best Sustainability Program category. The foundation’s annual Citizens Awards recognized 37 national finalists across nine categories, the release said. Winners are scheduled to be revealed October 27-28 at the U.S. Chamber’s Business Solves Conference in Washington, D.C. Business Wire

Freight and customer savings

U-Haul described Load Share as a program in which a moving-truck customer tows another family’s U-Box container to the same destination city. The company said that, by the end of 2026, the program will have eliminated more than 20 million miles of heavy-duty freight travel and associated carbon dioxide emissions since its inception, while generating $44.5 million in customer cost savings.
