Fiscal 2026 outlook remains under pressure
In a September 3 release, Tyson Foods said it now expects fiscal 2026 revenue growth of 1.5 percent to 2.0 percent and total-company adjusted operating income of $1.85 billion to $2.05 billion. The company cited additional pressure in its Beef segment, including margin compression linked to volatile cattle prices and a severe cattle shortage in the United States.
Tyson also forecast adjusted Beef segment operating losses of $625 million to $775 million for fiscal 2026. Its adjusted operating-income outlook for Chicken was $1.85 billion to $1.95 billion, while the Pork segment outlook was $200 million to $250 million. Tyson said it was restructuring its Beef network around three facilities in the central United States.
