Cyber risk tops Travelers survey
In a September 22, 2026 release, Travelers Investor Relations said cyber threats ranked as the top overall business concern in its 2026 Travelers Risk Index, the fifth time in eight years that they held that position. The annual nationwide survey found that 58 percent of respondents worried some or a great deal about cyber threats.
The release said 89 percent of survey participants reported daily artificial intelligence use within their workforce, while 59 percent had formal practices governing AI use. It also said 70 percent of companies reported purchasing cyber insurance, seven percentage points higher than in 2025.
