TransDigm Group Incorporated completed its acquisition of Prince & Izant on September 28, 2026, for approximately $1.066 billion in cash, including certain tax benefits, according to a TransDigm Group release distributed by PR Newswire. The company said it financed the transaction with cash on hand.
Acquisition expands specialty-metals operations
Prince & Izant designs and manufactures brazing alloys and specialty metal components for aerospace and defense, aeroderivative turbine, transportation, medical and general industrial applications. The acquired company was expected to generate approximately $390 million in calendar-year 2026 revenue and employed approximately 220 people, the release said.
Debt financing disclosed
In a September 14, 2026 filing, TransDigm Group said its wholly owned subsidiary, TransDigm Inc., had priced $3.000 billion of 6.75% senior secured notes due 2035. The proceeds were intended to repurchase the subsidiary’s outstanding 6.75% senior secured notes due 2028 and for general corporate purposes, according to the SEC filing.
