Topdanmark stock: Sampo books EUR 118 million impairment

Sampo said on September 25, 2026, that it will recognize an approximately EUR 118 million impairment loss, including related value-added tax charges, before tax in the third quarter of 2026. The charge relates to intangible IT assets connected with the integration of Topdanmark operations into If Group, according to Sampo's investor release published through Nasdaq Nordic.

Accounting treatment

Sampo said the noncash loss will be recognized in other expenses and excluded from operating earnings per share. The company added that the effect on solvency is expected to be minor, the release said.
