In a September 29, 2026 release, thyssenkrupp nucera said it had secured a chlor-alkali technology order from Hongniu Lanzhou Environmental Protection Technology in China. The company described the order as being in the low double-digit million-euro range. The scope includes licensing, engineering, procurement services, key equipment supplies and commissioning support for a project in Northwest China.
The project will use thyssenkrupp nucera’s e-BiTAC v7 technology. The company said the technology achieves power consumption of less than 1,960 kWh per ton of NaOH at 6 kA/m². The order is the first contract awarded to thyssenkrupp nucera by Hongniu Lanzhou.
