On September 29, 2026, thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA announced a new chlor-alkali technology order from Hongniu Lanzhou Environmental Protection Technology in China. The order is in the low double-digit million-euro range and covers licensing, engineering, procurement services, key equipment supplies and commissioning support, according to the EQS News release.
The project in Northwest China will use thyssenkrupp nucera's e-BiTAC v7 technology. The company said the technology achieves power consumption of less than 1,960 kWh per ton of sodium hydroxide at a current density of 6 kA/m². The issuer's press release said the contract is the first between Hongniu Lanzhou and thyssenkrupp nucera.
