Telenor stock after-hours as September Connexion transaction was completed

Telenor’s September 10 release said its transaction with Verdane for Telenor Connexion had been completed. The company said it received about SEK 3.8 billion in upfront proceeds.

Telenor ASA said its transaction with Verdane to establish a 50/50 joint venture for Telenor Connexion was completed on September 10, 2026. The company said it received approximately SEK 3.8 billion in upfront proceeds and would receive a vendor note of approximately SEK 0.8 billion. MarketScreener published the issuer release.

Financial effect

Following completion, Telenor Connexion was to be deconsolidated and accounted for as an associated company in the Telenor Group. Telenor said the change was expected to reduce 2026 free cash flow before mergers and acquisitions by approximately NOK 0.2 billion. Telenor’s investor-relations material also listed the transaction among its recent M&A announcements.
