Standard Chartered stock: bank launches 10th VCC sub-fund

Standard Chartered launched its 10th sub-fund under its Variable Capital Company platform with BNY Investments acting as sub-investment manager, according to a Standard Chartered press release dated October 5, 2026.
VCC platform expands
The new Signature Select Premium Cash Reserve Fund is managed by Insight Investment and invests in short-term fixed-income and money-market securities. Standard Chartered said its VCC platform had raised $2.6 billion in assets under management as of the end of June 2026. The fund is intended for accredited and professional investors in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Jersey, Kenya and Nigeria, with other markets expected to follow. The launch is the platform’s fifth fund launch of 2026.
Buyback activity
Separately, Standard Chartered PLC reported purchases made under its share buyback program between September 28 and October 2, 2026. The company said it had applied an aggregate of US$506,020,428.10 to share purchases as of the close of business in London on October 2, according to the RNS announcement dated October 5, 2026.
