New high school contract in Washington
PR Newswire reported on October 5, 2026, that Skanska signed a contract with the Renton School District to construct Renton High School in Renton, Washington. The contract is worth USD 110 million, about SEK 1.0 billion, and will be included in Skanska's U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
The new three-story school will cover 32,500 square meters and have classroom capacity for 1,600 students. The campus is planned to include classrooms, career and technical education facilities, health and special-services spaces, community areas, a library, cafeteria, gymnasiums and sports fields. Work has begun, with completion expected in fall 2029.
