U.S. Navy support contract
GlobeNewswire reported on September 29 that Serco Inc. had been awarded a $199 million prime contract to provide professional support services for the U.S. Navy's in-service surface ships. The work includes program and project management, technical engineering and integrated logistics support across 10 core mission functions, with activity primarily at U.S. naval hubs in the continental United States and overseas.
Serco Inc. is identified by the company's careers site as the Americas division of Serco Group plc. Serco said the award continues its more than 20-year history supporting the Navy organization responsible for maritime modernization and sustainment.
