Schroders says Nuveen completed acquisition on October 1, 2026

Schroders reported on October 1, 2026, that Nuveen had completed its acquisition of Schroders. The combined firm said it has approximately $2.6 trillion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026. Schroders is expected to continue operating separately within Nuveen for 12 to 18 months, led by Group Chief Executive Richard Oldfield.
Cash consideration and trading status
In an RNS announcement dated October 1, 2026, Schroders PLC said the scheme had become effective and that the entire issued and to-be-issued share capital was owned by Pantheon, LLC, a Nuveen subsidiary. Scheme shareholders were entitled to receive 590 pence in cash for each scheme share held, with settlement due no later than October 15, 2026.
The announcement said admission of Schroders shares to trading on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market would be suspended from 7:30 a.m. on October 1, with cancellation of the listing and trading admission expected by 8:00 a.m. on October 2, 2026.
