In a September 14, 2026 release, Sanofi said it intends to transfer a selection of 20 mature medicines and three manufacturing sites worldwide to Cheplapharm. In return, Sanofi is to receive a 26.4 percent equity stake in Cheplapharm. The sites are in Csanyikvölgy, Hungary, Jurong, Singapore, and Ploërmel, France, with approximately 400, 100 and 65 employees, respectively.

The commercial transfer is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2027, followed by the site transfers, subject to employee consultations, regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Sanofi said the transaction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2027 and is not expected to affect its 2026 financial guidance. The medicines include Lovenox/Clexane, excluding the United States.

The company upgraded its 2026 guidance, expecting sales growth of around 10 percent at constant exchange rates and business EPS growth slightly faster than sales, as reported by Sanofi.
