Sanofi and Regeneron announced on October 1, 2026, that they had expanded their longstanding antibody collaboration. Under the agreement, the companies will co-develop and co-commercialize four new long-acting antibodies targeting interleukin-13, an IL-4xIL-13 bispecific, interleukin-4 and interleukin-4 receptor alpha, according to Sanofi.

Upfront payment and development plans

Regeneron will receive a USD 1 billion upfront payment from Sanofi and could receive up to an additional USD 7 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones. The companies will share development and commercialization costs and split future profits from the new programs 50:50 globally. Regeneron will lead research and development, while Sanofi will lead global commercial efforts, the company said in its release.

The antibody REGN20423 is currently in a phase 1 clinical study for atopic dermatitis, while the other three programs are expected to enter clinical studies in 2027. The existing profit-sharing agreement for Dupixent will not change, according to Sanofi.
