Salesforce reports stronger use of agentic search
In a September 30 release, Salesforce said use of agentic search as the first step in the shopping journey grew 200 percent year over year. The company said its Fourth Edition State of Commerce report drew on surveys of 3,450 commerce professionals and behavioral data from more than 1.5 billion global shoppers.
The release said 86 percent of commerce leaders surveyed believe AI is raising customer expectations. It also reported that 28 percent of commerce organizations currently use agentic AI, while another 52 percent plan to adopt it within the next six months. The survey was conducted from April 10 to June 4, 2026.
Fin acquisition completed
