Renewable electricity agreement in the United Kingdom
On September 28, 2026, Saint-Gobain announced that it had signed a renewable electricity purchase agreement with TotalEnergies for 60 GWh per year to supply its industrial sites in the United Kingdom. The agreement will take effect in April 2027 and run for five years, according to the Saint-Gobain release published by Les Echos Comfi.
The company said the agreement is its first of this type in the United Kingdom and will cover more than 20 percent of its annual electricity consumption in the country. The contract is backed by guarantees of origin from local renewable-energy assets, the release said.
