Saab's latest disclosed developments include a non-binding agreement with Canada on a proposed GlobalEye program and leadership changes that took effect October 1, 2026.

Canada negotiations cover six aircraft

On September 25, 2026, Saab said it had signed a non-binding term-sheet agreement with the Canadian Defence Investment Agency. The agreement establishes the scope and framework for detailed negotiations on Saab's GlobalEye airborne early warning and control solution for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Saab said the proposed program covers six GlobalEye aircraft, associated systems, training and support. The agreement is not a contract or a commitment to procure aircraft. Saab said the parties will continue discussions on configuration, industrial participation, capability development and program execution.

Leadership changes took effect

In a September 10, 2026 release, Saab said Anders Carp would become head of the Dynamics business area while remaining executive vice president. Marcus Wandt became head of Aeronautics, Lars Tossman moved to lead Group Strategy and Growth, and Mikael Adelsberg also assumed responsibility for Saab's information-technology operations. Saab said the changes were intended to strengthen its ability to drive growth and innovation.
