Royal Bank of Canada outlines debt offering
On September 23, Royal Bank of Canada announced an offering of non-viability contingent capital subordinated debentures through its Canadian Medium Term Note Program, with an expected closing date of October 1, 2026. The notes carry a fixed interest rate of 4.67 percent annually until October 1, 2031, then reset to daily compounded CORRA plus 1.16 percent until maturity on October 1, 2036. RBC said the net proceeds would be used for general business purposes.
