Rolls-Royce stock: Company announces £300 million UK investment

Rolls-Royce announced a £300 million investment in UK manufacturing and engineering facilities on September 28, 2026. The company said the program is intended to support growth across its global Civil Aerospace and Defence businesses and strengthen UK industrial capacity. Rolls-Royce said it has invested more than £3 billion in the UK since the start of its transformation program in 2023.
Investment covers multiple UK sites
More than £140 million is being invested in new engineering and manufacturing facilities in Derby, where Rolls-Royce conducts Civil Aerospace operations. The company expects that work to be completed in 2028. A separate program in Bristol, valued at more than £90 million, will upgrade facilities, digital infrastructure and maintenance, repair and overhaul capability; completion is expected in 2031. The company’s release said the Bristol site employs more than 3,500 people.
Manufacturing capacity
Rolls-Royce also outlined a £43 million investment at Inchinnan in Glasgow for machinery to manufacture new engine components. At its Rotherham facility, a £19 million program is intended to double advanced turbine-blade output by 2030. The company said it spent more than £2.8 billion with UK-based suppliers in 2025. Rolls-Royce’s announcement identified the investment as part of its broader UK manufacturing program.
