Roche Holding stock after-hours: Genentech licenses Parkinson’s program

Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, entered an exclusive global licensing agreement with Alector for worldwide rights to develop and commercialize AL050, an investigational enzyme replacement therapy for Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, according to an Alector release dated October 5, 2026.
License terms
Under the agreement, Alector will receive a $100 million upfront payment and may receive up to $1.17 billion in additional development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments, plus tiered royalties on net sales, the Alector release said.
Genentech will be responsible for development, regulatory submissions, manufacturing and commercialization across all indications. Alector will retain ownership of its Alector Brain Carrier platform and rights to use it across its wholly owned pipeline, according to the Alector release.
