Maintenance contract for customs vessels
Separately, Rheinmetall said in a September 23, 2026, press release that its Naval Systems Division had been commissioned by Germany’s Federal Customs Administration to provide repair and maintenance services for four new LNG-powered customs vessels.
The multi-year framework agreement covers maintenance, repairs and emergency services, as well as support for technical issues during operation. The vessels include one 67-meter ship and three 55-meter ships, with service at berths in Lubmin, Neustadt in Holstein, Wilhelmshaven and Emden.
Rheinmetall said the contract strengthens its maritime services business. The three 55-meter vessels were built at the Peene-Werft shipyard and handed over to the client in the prior year, according to the company.
