FDA clearance expands QIAstat-Dx menu
On September 28, 2026, QIAGEN said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had cleared its QIAstat-Dx BCID GN Plus AMR Panel. The panel identifies 13 gram-negative bacterial targets and 18 antimicrobial resistance markers in about one hour. Together with a previously cleared panel for gram-positive bacteria and fungi, the portfolio covers 33 pathogen targets and 28 resistance markers.
QIAmini targets smaller batches
In a September 24, 2026 release, QIAGEN announced QIAmini, a compact automated system for research laboratories processing smaller sample batches. The system processes up to eight samples per run and automates DNA and RNA extraction and purification. QIAGEN said evaluated workflows showed a reduction in hands-on time of more than 80% compared with manual processing.
