Payment-system schedule changes October 19
According to an announcement by Postal Savings Bank of China, the payment system will begin accepting transactions at 7:00 p.m. on the preceding day of a statutory business day, instead of 8:30 p.m. The system will accept transactions until 5:15 p.m. on the business day, followed by a clearing window until 5:30 p.m. The bank said the change was made in accordance with a directive from the People's Bank of China.
On weekends and statutory holidays, the system will continue to operate under its special-day arrangements. The bank advised customers to plan transfer activity based on instruction-submission times, account limits, receiving-bank processing times and the status of the receiving account.
