U.S. expansion plan

On September 22, 2026, the Board of Directors of Pirelli & C. S.p.A. approved a multi-year U.S. investment plan worth approximately EUR 1 billion. The plan will expand the company’s Rome, Georgia, plant and is intended to raise annual capacity to approximately 6 million car tires by 2033, including Cyber Tyre technology, with around 1,000 new jobs expected, according to Pirelli.

The expansion is planned in two phases, beginning with robotized production and followed by a fully automated conventional production facility. Pirelli said the project would not affect its 2026 targets. Georgia’s governor’s office separately described the project as a $1.2 billion expansion, with full operations projected for 2033 and the bulk of hiring expected to begin in 2029, according to the Governor of Georgia’s office.
