Chinese refiners suspended oil-product exports for October as Beijing sought to preserve domestic stocks, according to Reuters. The report said PetroChina canceled a handful of gasoline and jet fuel shipments planned for October, based on information from three sources. PetroChina did not immediately respond to requests for comment, the report said.
Separately, LNG Canada said on September 28 that its joint venture participants, including PetroChina, had taken a final investment decision on the Phase 2 expansion in Kitimat, British Columbia. The project will add two LNG processing units and increase total production capacity from 14 million tonnes to 28 million tonnes a year.
