ON Semiconductor stock: the company introduced its Embedded Power Platform on September 16, 2026, describing it as a scalable architecture for power-system design in automotive, industrial and AI data-center applications. The announcement was issued by onsemi through GlobeNewswire.
Platform targets higher integration
The platform uses the silicon wafer as the foundation of the package and is designed to integrate silicon, silicon carbide and gallium nitride technologies. onsemi said the architecture can combine devices such as field-effect transistors, drivers and controllers in a single package while jointly optimizing electrical, thermal and mechanical performance. The company said EPP can deliver 3–5 times higher power density, depending on the application, and is expected to begin sampling in 2026.
Subaru evaluates technology
Subaru entered a strategic technology engagement with onsemi to evaluate EPP for future electrified-vehicle architectures. Under the engagement, Subaru receives access to engineering samples, simulation models and technical expertise while assessing potential improvements in efficiency, system integration and development flexibility, according to a separate GlobeNewswire release.
