Revised Synaptics agreement
On October 1, 2026, onsemi and Synaptics announced an amended merger agreement. Under the revised terms, onsemi will acquire Synaptics for $123 per share in cash, representing an aggregate value of approximately $5.7 billion, compared with approximately $7 billion under the prior agreement, according to the onsemi release published by GlobeNewswire.
The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to onsemi’s non-GAAP earnings per share. Closing remains expected by mid-2027, subject to Synaptics shareholder approval, required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, the onsemi newsroom said.
