Singapore fab enters risk production
NXP Semiconductors said its VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company joint venture with Vanguard International Semiconductor marked the grand opening of its first 12-inch, or 300mm, fab in Tampines, Singapore, on September 28, 2026. The facility has entered the risk-production stage, while volume production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
The company said the fab's first sample lot achieved yields above 99 percent. At full capacity by 2029, the facility is expected to produce approximately 44,000 12-inch wafers per month and support process technologies ranging from 130 nanometers to 40 nanometers for mixed-signal, power-management, analog and interposer applications.
