Private Banking joint venture
On September 15, Nordnet announced that it and ABG Sundal Collier had entered into a strategic partnership to create a new Private Banking offering. The companies said the venture will combine Nordnet’s digital platform with ABG Sundal Collier’s advisory, portfolio-management and research capabilities. Operations are planned to start in Sweden in 2027, followed by a rollout across the Nordic region and other markets where the companies operate, according to Nordnet.
The new company is to be owned equally by Nordnet and ABG Sundal Collier. The parties said its board will have equal representation from both companies plus an independent director. The planned initial headcount is 15 to 20 employees, with Martin Ringberg, Nordnet’s former Sweden country manager, appointed as chief executive of the new company, the issuer said in the same release.
Research portal launched
Separately, Nordnet said on September 10 that it had launched a Research Portal developed with Citi. The portal gives Nordnet’s Nordic Private Banking customers access to Citi research, with coverage of about 1,500 companies from the Nordic region, Europe and the United States. Nordnet said the service was available on its website and would be rolled out gradually in its app, according to Nordnet.
