Natera announced on October 6 that four abstracts involving its Signatera molecular residual disease test were selected for oral presentation at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology. The presentations examined treatment response monitoring and risk stratification across gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers, according to Business Wire.

In a real-world study of locally advanced rectal cancer, Signatera identified every instance of local cancer growth or recurrence, corresponding to 100% sensitivity, and showed 97% specificity after neoadjuvant treatment. In anal squamous cell carcinoma, patients who tested positive after definitive chemoradiation had 18-month progression-free survival of 8% and overall survival of 73%; the progression-free survival rate was 97% among patients who remained Signatera-negative.

Findings in gynecologic cancers

The release also described studies in vulvovaginal and locally advanced cervical cancer. Signatera positivity preceded radiographic recurrence in all patients in the vulvovaginal cancer study, with a median lead time of 117 days. In the cervical cancer study, positivity at the midpoint of treatment identified a patient who later experienced recurrence, while patients who remained negative were disease-free during the reported follow-up.
