On September 30, National Australia Bank Limited said it would increase its variable home loan rates by 0.25 percent per annum, with the new rates taking effect on October 9. The bank said the change followed the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to raise the official cash rate by 0.25 percent per annum. NAB said the change applies to its standard variable home loan rates.
Inner-Sydney branch investment
In a September 25 announcement, NAB said it was investing AUD 2.8 million across two inner-Sydney branches. The plan includes AUD 1.3 million for a new Broadway Shopping Centre branch and AUD 1.5 million to refurbish the Haymarket branch. NAB said the Haymarket branch would temporarily close on October 9 and is expected to reopen in December.
