License agreement for experimental cancer drug
In a September 30 release, Merck said it had entered into an exclusive global license agreement with SciBrunch Therapeutics for SPR2015, an investigational preclinical oral KRAS G12D inhibitor. Merck received worldwide rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the compound.
Under the agreement, SciBrunch is to receive a USD 400 million upfront payment and may receive additional milestone payments. The transaction has a total potential aggregate value of USD 2.13 billion, including the upfront payment. Merck said it will record a USD 400 million pretax charge, or approximately USD 0.13 per share, in its third-quarter 2026 GAAP and non-GAAP results.
Phase 2b study in hidradenitis suppurativa
