MediaTek stock: Dimensity 9500 powers Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series

MediaTek said its Dimensity 9500 platform powers Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+. The tablets are scheduled to reach major retailers on October 7, 2026.

MediaTek announced on September 30, 2026, that its flagship Dimensity 9500 platform powers Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The announcement covers Samsung’s premium tablet lineup and the companies’ ongoing collaboration. MediaTek said the platform is designed to support on-device artificial intelligence, graphics and power-efficient performance.

New tablet platform

The Dimensity 9500 is built on TSMC’s 3nm process and features an All Big Core CPU architecture, MediaTek’s NPU 990 and Generative AI Engine 2.0. MediaTek also highlighted a 12-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and support for Unreal Engine 5.5+. MediaTek’s release said the Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available at major retailers starting October 7, 2026.
