MediaTek stock: Dimensity 9500 powers Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series

MediaTek announced on September 30, 2026, that its Dimensity 9500 platform powers Samsung's Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ tablets.
Chip targets AI-enabled tablets
According to the company release, the Dimensity 9500 is built on TSMC's 3nm process and features an all-big-core CPU architecture, the MediaTek NPU 990 and Generative AI Engine 2.0. The platform is designed to support on-device intelligence, productivity applications and entertainment features in Samsung's premium tablet lineup.
The release also cites a 12-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Unreal Engine 5.5+ support for gaming and graphics workloads. MediaTek identified Samsung as a long-standing collaboration partner across the Galaxy Tab series.
