Maersk stock: Company announces new inland transport surcharges

A.P. Moller - Maersk announced new inland transport surcharges in the Netherlands and the Nordic region on October 6, 2026. The company’s announcements concern selected inland services and shipments.
Netherlands low-water surcharge
Maersk said a low-water surcharge for inland barge transportation to and from selected Dutch inland terminals applies to movements from October 6, 2026. The surcharge ranges from EUR 15.00 to EUR 65.00 for 20-foot containers, EUR 30.00 to EUR 120.00 for 40-foot containers and EUR 40.00 to EUR 135.00 for 45-foot containers, depending on the location and water-level threshold, according to the company’s announcement.
Nordic inland fuel surcharge
Maersk also announced a temporary emergency inland fuel and energy surcharge for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. The measure takes effect October 7, 2026, with rates ranging from 0 percent in Norway to 20 percent in Estonia for eligible Store Door shipments, the company said in a separate announcement.
