Kering starts Italian craftsmanship academy
In a release dated September 30, Kering said its Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze had launched its first academic year. The program welcomed more than 1,500 students through more than 40 educational programs and seven partner schools across six Italian regions, according to Kering.
The company said the program includes approximately 62,000 hours of training and more than 22,400 hours of internships, supported by more than 400 master artisans and professionals. Its curriculum covers apparel, menswear tailoring, leather goods and jewelry, along with technology, artificial intelligence, new materials and sustainability, Kering said.
Leadership responsibility in Italy
Kering announced on September 1 that Sabina Belli had become President of Kering Italia effective September 15. The company said she would continue overseeing Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze and represent Kering in Italy, Kering said.
