British Columbia camera contract
On September 24, 2026, Jenoptik said its subsidiary JENOPTIK Canada Ltd. had been awarded a contract by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia to supply more than 140 intersection safety camera systems. The subsidiary will deliver, implement and install systems combining red-light violation and speed-on-green detection, together with Jenoptik’s FlowTris back-office platform.
The government of British Columbia said ICBC selected Jenoptik Canada through a competitive procurement to supply, install and maintain the new cameras for as long as 10 years. The government described the investment as $67 million over the life of the contract.
