In a September 16 release, Investor said Patricia Industries, a part of Investor AB and the owner of Mölnlycke, supports the intended separation of Mölnlycke’s Operating Room Solutions and Gloves businesses into a new standalone company called Mölnlycke Surgical. The separation is expected to be completed during 2027, subject to customary approvals, according to the Investor release distributed by Cision.
The release said the businesses planned for Mölnlycke Surgical generated approximately EUR 0.8 billion in 2025 net sales and had an EBITDA margin of approximately 11 percent. The remaining Mölnlycke businesses, Wound Care and Antiseptics, generated approximately EUR 1.3 billion in 2025 net sales and had an EBITDA margin of approximately 38 percent, the release said.
