Mölnlycke separation supported
In a September 16 release, Investor AB said Patricia Industries supports Mölnlycke’s intended separation into two standalone companies under Patricia Industries’ ownership. Mölnlycke would comprise the Wound Care and Antiseptics businesses, while Mölnlycke Surgical would comprise Operating Room Solutions and Gloves. The separation is expected to be completed during 2027, subject to customary approvals.
The release said the Wound Care and Antiseptics businesses generated approximately EUR 1.3 billion in 2025 net sales with an EBITDA margin of 38.00 percent. Operating Room Solutions and Gloves generated approximately EUR 0.8 billion in 2025 net sales with an EBITDA margin of 11.00 percent.
Nomination committee appointed
Investor AB announced on September 11 that its nomination committee for the 2027 annual general meeting had been appointed based on the ownership structure as of August 31. The committee includes Leif Johansson, Katarina Romberg, Magnus Carlsson, Pablo Bernengo and Jacob Wallenberg, who is chair of Investor AB’s board, according to the company’s release.
The shareholders that appointed committee members together represent more than 60 percent of the voting rights for all Investor AB shares. The annual general meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2027, and proposals must be received by January 31, 2027, to be considered.
