Mölnlycke separation plan
In an Investor release distributed through Cision dated September 16, 2026, Patricia Industries, a part of Investor AB and the owner of Mölnlycke, said it supports Mölnlycke’s intended separation of its Operating Room Solutions and Gloves businesses into a new standalone company called Mölnlycke Surgical.
The proposed structure would leave Mölnlycke with its Wound Care and Antiseptics businesses. In 2025, those businesses generated approximately EUR 1.3 billion in net sales and an EBITDA margin of approximately 38 percent, while Operating Room Solutions and Gloves generated approximately EUR 0.8 billion in net sales and an EBITDA margin of approximately 11 percent, according to the release. The separation is expected to be completed during 2027, subject to customary approvals.
