HOCHTIEF Infrastructure UK has been identified for Lot 2 of Sellafield Ltd.’s Project and Asset Care Execution framework, a long-term program covering the operation, maintenance and development of facilities at the United Kingdom’s Sellafield site. The selection was announced on September 30, 2026, by ACS Group.
Framework covers nuclear facilities
HOCHTIEF Infrastructure will support specialist and decommissioning nuclear facilities under Lot 2, including work involving Special Nuclear Materials, nuclear infrastructure and remediation. The lot has an estimated value of up to GBP 1.50 billion and is structured for an initial nine-year term with an option to extend for another six years, according to the company release.
The planned services include design, procurement, installation, commissioning, asset care, project management and project controls. Sellafield said the framework will run for an initial nine years with an option for a further six years, through to 2041. Mobilization will start once the contract is formally signed, the UK government release said.
Formal award still pending
Sellafield identified HOCHTIEF Infrastructure UK as the Lot 2 partner subject to the formal award of the framework. The PACE program is intended to support asset care and asset creation activities at the site.
