Hitachi said it entered a strategic co-creation partnership with Agile Robots SE to develop intelligence for AI robotics. The companies plan to combine Hitachi's Physical AI technologies with Agile Robots' AI-powered robotics solutions. Hitachi said the resulting technology is intended to support autonomous execution of complex manufacturing tasks and production processes, with plans to offer the solutions globally through HMAX Industry.
Bank of Japan pilot
In a separate release dated September 29, Hitachi said it signed an outsourcing agreement with the Bank of Japan for work on the central bank's digital currency pilot experiment. Hitachi said its participation runs from August 2026 through July 2027 and includes building the experimental environment and technical studies such as error handling and efficient remittance processing flows.
