Battery innovation center opened in China
Henkel and CALB signed a memorandum of understanding and opened a joint Battery Innovation Center at CALB’s research and development facility in Changzhou, China, according to a Henkel release dated September 29, 2026.
The approximately 400-square-meter center is designed to combine materials development, simulation, testing and pilot-scale validation. Henkel said the three-year cooperation will initially focus on adhesive technologies and application solutions for new-energy-vehicle batteries, with more than 30 specialists planned across material development, cell design, application testing and scale-up, the company said.
